SMØHXB / Contest call SAØH
My name is Göran and my amateur radio callsign is SMØHXB. I allso have a contest callsign, SAØH
My interest for radio communication and electronics began in 1959. I was a SW-listener for many years.
It was in those days when many foren BC stations all over the world transmitted in Swedish.
I got my amateur radio licence in 1975.
My present equipment is Yaesu FT-857, which covers 160-10 - 6 - 2 m + 70cm.
Together with a autotuner Z-11 Pro, I put out 100 watts to a Zepp dipol for 80-40 m.
I have no antenna for 6 meters for the moment.
I am fairly active on digital modes such as PSK and RTTY, and sometimes on SSTV.
APRS
I also have an APRS Digipeater (SMØHXB-3) which runs as Wide1-1, (fill in) and in position of Hässelmara (JO99HG).
Digipeatern consists of an Alinco DR-135 (about 10-12 watts out) and the TNC is a uTNT + from Elcom. No PC needed.

Associations
Jag är medlem i den lokala radioklubben Stockholms Skärgårds Sändare Amatörer SKØMM,
samt i moderföreningen Sveriges Sändare Amatörer SSA.
Jag är också medlem i FRO och lite aktiv i deras digitala sambandsnät FRONET.
Försöker även vara aktiv i RSB nätet (Reservsamband).
